What was the highlight of Chalet-Hôtel La Mainaz Restaurant & Resort
Excellent restaurant (dinner), hotel lacks eye for detail.
We made a last minute booking due to bad weather conditions. This was the only hotel available and we were very grateful for a place to stay indoors. We seemed to be the only guests and they kept the kitchen open just for us. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The restaurant (dinner) was excellent. They offered us a place to dry our tent.
The owner of the hotel seems to live far away, or doesn't care about details. Although the rooms are well appointed, many small things are not as they should be (especially given the price of ~EUR 200/ night). Examples: the clock in the room was on winter time, the battery in the scales had died, covid measures were still advertised etc. We also felt uncomfortable 4 people were swarming our table (sometimes at the same time) serving us at dinner. Especially since we were the only guests. At breakfast (EUR 29 per person) we got orange juice from a carton and initially cold coffee. Did they really put the scrambled eggs in the microwave instead of a skillet?

very friendly staff, great room and a fantastic view
the room junior suit was nice and spacious with an amazing view over the alps and Geneva. Special shout-out to Jade for the special and extra-mile service - made our stay that much more enjoyable.
